User control is the core requirement
Lumen Relay should be visible, removable, and limited. The user should always know whether donation is active and should always be able to stop it.
User controls
- Enable or disable bandwidth donation.
- Set daily or monthly donation limits.
- Pause donation instantly.
- Remove devices from the account.
- Uninstall or delete the client anytime.
File privacy
- No personal document access.
- No photo library access.
- No password collection.
- No private message reading.
- No browser history harvesting.
Network responsibility
Users should only donate bandwidth from internet connections they own or are authorized to use. Lumen Relay is not responsible for ISP charges, data overage fees, throttling, workplace policy violations, school policy violations, unauthorized network use, or restrictions applied by third-party providers.
