Participation terms
These sample terms describe a voluntary bandwidth donation model. They are placeholder copy and should be replaced with legally reviewed terms before launch.
Authorized networks only
Users may participate only with devices and internet connections they own or are authorized to use. Users are responsible for checking ISP, workplace, school, and local network rules.
No personal file access
The client is not intended to access user documents, photos, passwords, private messages, downloads, browser history, or personal folders.
User control
Users should be able to disable donation, set limits, uninstall the client, delete the installer, and stop participation at any time.
Limitation of responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumen Relay is not responsible for user ISP charges, overage fees, throttling, policy violations, unauthorized network use, local device changes, or third-party restrictions caused by participation.
Prohibited use
The service should not be used for unlawful activity, fraud, spam, malware, credential attacks, unauthorized access, or activity that violates applicable laws or third-party rules.
